Arlington tech company names COO

Sandy Gillespie will move from NCI Information Systems to Excella Consulting.

Arlington-based tech company Excella Consulting Inc. announced Tuesday it has named Sandy Gillespie as its chief operating officer.

Gillespie was most recently COO and executive vice president for Reston-based NCI Information Systems Inc. since April 2018. In her new role at Excella, she will oversee client delivery and growth strategies. 

She has been in the information technology industry for nearly three decades and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science, accounting and management from Jacksonville State University.

Excella was formed in 2002 and serves federal agency clients, consumer brands and nonprofit organizations. The $70 million company employs a 300-person and advises clients on advanced data and analytics, agile transportation, modernization and digital service delivery.
