Arlington tech company wins $1.5B contract

CACI International Inc. will support National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency

Arlington-based federal technology contractor CACI International Inc. announced Thursday it has won a $1.5 billion contract to provide networking and cybersecurity services for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

“This record award demonstrates CACI is delivering on its strategy to win larger, more enduring contracts,” CACI President and CEO John Mengucci said in a statement. “It also represents our steadfast commitment to protecting and defending our nation’s networks so the NGA can deliver mission-critical geospatial intelligence to the warfighter around the globe.”

The NGA is a combat support agency under the U.S. Department of Defense. Also a U.S. Intelligence Community agency, it primarily collects, analyzes and distributes geospatial intelligence to national security organizations.

Under the contract, CACI network and cybersecurity experts in Virginia, St. Louis and the company’s international offices will design, engineer, operate and enhance NGA networks.
