Clune Construction acquires JLL’s construction division in Washington, D.C.

Chicago-based Clune Construction has acquired the construction division of commercial real estate firm JLL in Washington, D.C.

The acquisition is scheduled to take effect on Oct. 1.  Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Clune plans to maintain its current office in McLean. The company said the acquisition will double its Washington area staff and
its reach throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

Clune has focused on corporate offices, building renovations and construction fitting federal requirements in the Washington region.

JLL acquired the construction services component of the real estate development firm Spaulding & Slye in 2006.
