Culinary Institute of Virginia takes space in Newport News

The Culinary Institute of Virginia (School of Culinary Arts of ECPI University) has leased 10,013 square feet at 11850 Merchants Walk, City Center at Oyster Point in Newport News. Its new facility is slated to open late spring.

The institute opened for enrollment in fall 2006. City Center will be its second location in Hampton Roads. The current campus is located in Norfolk.

Alex Stern, senior vice president of Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate, handled the lease transaction.

In another deal for Harvey Lindsay in Hampton Roads, Old Dominion Peanut Co. renewed its lease for 24,000 square feet of industrial space at Gresham South in Norfolk.
