Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer gets two million-square-foot retail portfolio

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer said Tuesday that it has been awarded the Blackwood Development Co. retail portfolio of about two million square feet of existing and planned retail centers. 

The properties include developments such as Gleneagles Shopping Center, The Promenade Shops, Southshore Shops, and NorthCross Center and Harper's Mill, all located in the  Richmond metropolitan area. New developments, Midlothian Town Center and Pouncey Place, also are planned.

Blackwood is a privately owned, Richmond-based commercial real estate and brokerage firm that has developed projects in Central Virginia and Hampton Roads.

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer also announced the addition of Allyson Petty as senior associate in its Retail Services Group in the Richmond office. 

Petty most recently managed the leasing and marketing of Blackwood Development Co.’s retail portfolio. She specializes in shopping center leasing, site selection and retail property sales. At Thalhimer, she will be part of a team of leasing representatives on all the centers

Petty also was a senior associate at Grubb & Ellis|Harrison & Bates, and a retail associate with The Shopping Center Group.  She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is the immediate past president of the Board of Directors for the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE).
