Delta Dental of Virginia promotes Chris Pyle

Roanoke-based Delta Dental of Virginia announced Thursday that Chris Pyle has been promoted to vice president, marketing and government relations. He was director of marketing and community relations.

In his new role, Pyle will oversee the development and direction of the company’s marketplace and government relations efforts.

Before  joining Delta Dental of Virginia, Pyle was the director of state government and public relations for the national Delta Dental Plans Association.

His past experience includes working on health-care reform for Delta Dental Plans Association and serving as a health policy adviser and speechwriter for Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Delta Dental provides employee dental benefits to more than 1.8 million people.
