Edelman Financial Services expands headquarters

Published October 11, 2017 by Paula C. Squires

Edelman Financial Services has renewed and expanded its headquarters space in Fairfax. According to JLL, the firm will now occupy 74,000 square feet at Centerpointe II at 4000 Legato Road.

The financial services and investment planning firm was founded in Fairfax County by Ric Edelman and his wife, Jean.  “JLL is proud to have represented Edelman for nearly 20 years and is pleased to have played a small role in the company’s growth by providing real estate services for national expansion,” Harry Klaff, managing director, JLL, said in a statement.  “It was very important for them to achieve efficiency and expansion without disrupting operations at headquarters. Carr Properties was able to accommodate the company’s needs within Centerpointe, committing to current and future growth as well as significant upgrades …”

Centerpointe II, owned in a joint venture between Carr Properties and New York Life, is undergoing renovations. They include a new lobby and common areas, a renovated fitness center and upgraded parking areas.

Klaff and JLL’s Chuck Straw represented Edelman Financial Services  in the transaction.
