Falls Church-based consultancy PACEM Solutions International and PACEM Defense LLC announced Friday the appointment of Cory Mills as executive chairman and Rana Al Saadi as executive vice chairman of its board of directors, effective immediately.

Mills and Saadi are both co-founders of PACEM Solutions International and PACEM Defense LLC.

Mills is a combat veteran and also previously served as a subcontractor for the U.S. Department of State from 2005 to 2010. In that role, he worked on diplomatic missions in the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and the U.S. Consul in Erbil. He is also a member of the Department of Defense business board and a member of the Council for National Policy.

Before his time with PACEM, Al Saadi held senior executive positions with the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Defense. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Baghdad University and her executive master’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University.

Founded in 2014, PACEM Solutions International provides consulting, training and risk management services and has a training and range complex in Perry, Florida, which includes a sniper range, shoothouse and obstacle courses. PACEM Defense manufactures munitions.
