Health Diagnostic Laboratory names new corporate counsel

Douglas L. Sbertoli has been named vice president and corporate counsel of the rapidly growing Richmond-based health management and advanced testing company Health Diagnostic Laboratory Inc. (HDL).

Sbertoli had led the public finance practice group at the law firm LeClairRyan in Richmond since 1993 and served on its management committee of the firm since 1999.

He has practiced securities, corporate and public finance, and business law since 1987. A graduate of the University of Virginia, he earned a law degree at the College of William and Mary’s Marshall-Wythe School of Law.

Dennis Ryan, a co-founder of LeClairRyan, became executive vice president at HDL last year.
