Lansing Building Products acquires ASI Building Products

Lansing Building Products (LBP), a national distributor of exterior building products headquartered in Richmond, said Tuesday that it has acquired Tampa-based ASI Building Products for an undisclosed price.

The deal adds ASI’s eight Florida facilities to LBP’s 65 branches nationwide. ASI has locations in Tampa, Fort Meyers, Orlando, Riviera Beach, Melbourne, Daytona Beach, Ocala and Tampa West.

Founded in Richmond in 1955, Lansing is one of the largest independently owned building products distributors in the U.S. More than 640 employees work at its branches.

Chris Lansing, the company’s president, CEO and sole shareholder said in a statement, “We are excited to have ASI become part of our company and know it will be a tremendous asset as LBP continues to grow throughout the U.S.”
