Large Newport News shopping center is on the market

Greysteel Co.'s mid-Atlantic retail investment sales division has been named exclusive advisor and agent for the sale of Newport Crossing, a 194,000-square-foot, Food Lion anchored shopping center in Newport News.

The center is located just off the Warwick and Denbigh Boulevard intersection, which sees an average traffic count of of 78,000 cars daily.

The offering comes on the heels of new tenant Riverside Health System, the region’s largest health care provider, recently signing a long-term lease to occupy a new $3.7 million, 42,000-square-foot facility at the west end of the center.

Other tenants include Dollar Tree and Citi Trends. According to Greysteel, the center is about 80 percent occupied.
Greysteel is representing the seller, Harbor Group International, based in Norfolk.
