New retail shops coming to Suffolk

S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. announces the appointment of J.C. Wynkoop as exclusive representative for the new Riverfront Shoppes to be located on Harbour View Boulevard in Suffolk.
Gee’s Group of Virginia Beach is developing the project, which will consist of more than 39,000 square feet of high-end retail, office and medical space.

Located at the entrance of the Riverfront community in one of Suffolk’s high-growth corridors, the project plans to offer retail spaces ranging from 1,220 square feet to 19,000 square feet in the River Club Building and from 1,769 square feet to 7,076 square feet in a building that will be known as Harbour View. Riverfront Shoppes is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2014.

The company also announced several lease transactions:
SRS Distribution leased 27,000 square feet of industrial space at 4144 S. Military Highway in Chesapeake. Stephanie Sanker represented the tenant.

Axis Marine Machining and Fabrication Services Inc. leased a 20,000-square-foot office/warehouse building at 3933 Holland Boulevard in Chesapeake. Michael Myers represented the tenant.

Walgreen’s leased 14,200 square feet of retail space at the intersection of First Colonial and Laskin Roads in Virginia Beach. Thomas G. Johnson, III and Sharon Swanberg represented the landlord.

Headquartered in Norfolk and with an office in Richmond, S.L. Nusbaum currently manages more than 5.3 million square feet of retail space, more than 16,000 apartment units and 2 million square feet of office and industrial properties.
