Wes Ashworth promoted at The Lee Group

Newport News-based executive search firm Lee Group Search announced Wednesday that Wes Ashworth has been promoted to vice president executive search to oversee executive recruitment and placement for U.S.-based companies.

Ashworth joined the firm in 2014 as an executive search consultant. During his time with the firm, he has specialized in recruiting for manufacturing, logistics and distribution companies. In his new role, he will lead the executive search division within The Lee Group (its parent company) as well as operations, training, hiring and company growth.

“From the very beginning it was crystal clear that Wes gets it,” The Lee Group Principal Eric Kean said in a statement. “The get-it-factor is so hard to come by in our industry. You have to have the understanding, the patience, the tenacity and … the strong belief to always do the right thing.”

Founded in 1971, The Lee Group provides staffing and recruiting services for Fortune 500 companies in industries including manufacturing, distribution, banking and finance and nonprofits.
