Security services firm OMNIPLEX World Services Corp.  has named a new executive chairman and a new president.

Philip T. Sweeney has been named executive chairman, and OMNIPLEX Chief Operating Officer Michael S. Santelli has added president to his title. He will report directly to the board of directors.

Both executives joined OMNIPLEX after its December acquisition by Altamonte Capital Partners—the private equity firm that now is the principal corporate owner.

Julien Patterson, founder and chairman of the company, and Terri Wesselman, current president and CEO, will retire from their current roles but will continue to serve on the OMNIPLEX Board of Directors.

As executive chairman, Sweeney will provide advice and leadership to the board of directors the executive team of OMNIPLEX. From 1996 to 2009 he was the co-founder, senior vice president, CFO and senior vice president of corporate development of US Investigations Services (USIS), now called Alegrity. He serves as a board member and senior adviser to a wide range of organizations in the alternative energy, business services, education and health-care sectors.

Santelli will lead the daily operations of OMNIPLEX. Before joining OMNIPLEX, Santelli was president of the USIS Information Management division, where he worked for 15 years. Before that he worked at PricewaterhouesCoopers.

“We, along with the entire board of directors, are very pleased with these leadership selections. We have worked alongside Phil and Mike for nearly a year. They have proven that they are not only very qualified for these positions, but they are the ‘Right People’ with the ‘Right Values’ for these roles,” Patterson said in a statement.
