PBMares names director of wealth management division

Published May 26, 2016 by Veronica Garabelli

Newport News-based PBMares LLP said Thursday it has named Rob Klingensmith director of wealth management for its subsidiary, PBMares Wealth Management LLC.

PBMares Wealth Management LLC specializes in customized investment management and financial planning for high-net-worth individuals, retirement plans, nonprofits, endowments, corporations and institutions.

Klingensmith was previously the CEO of Pilatus Bank in Ta’Xbiex, Malta, a private bank catering to high-net-worth individuals and financial institutions throughout Europe and the Middle East.

In his new role, he is charged with managing the strategic direction of PBMares Wealth Management, including enhancing growth through increased market penetration and targeted acquisitions within the mid-Atlantic.

Klingensmith’s past experience includes working as a senior partner for a leading mutual life insurance company and serving as a managing director for A&R Capital Partners, a private equity firm.

He also is a veteran, having spent eight years in the U.S. Coast where he executed search and rescue missions on land and at sea in Alaska and California.

Klingensmith has served on the boards of the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, Boulder Crest Retreat for Wounded Warriors and The Viola Vestal Coulter Scholarship Foundation.
