Planet Fitness opening in Henrico and Spotsylvania counties

Planet Fitness is expanding its presence in Virginia. The new locations in Henrico and Spotsylvania counties should be open by early next year, according to Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer’s James Ashby IV, who represented the landlord in the deals. Thalhimer’s Nicki Jassy worked with Planet Fitness.

Bill Asbell, a franchisee of the chain, has signed a 21,575-square-foot lease at Westpark Shopping Center in Henrico County. Asbell’s taking over space formerly occupied by Victory Lady Fitness, Miracle-Ear, Oreck Vacuum, OneMain Financial and The Tile Shop, which is still located at the center but downsized its space. 

Asbell also signed a lease for roughly 20,000 square feet of space at a former Ukrop’s grocery store located at 4250 Plank Road in Spotsylvania County.
