Reston-based professional services company Caliburn International LLC announced Thursday it has hired Robert “Bob” Stalick as its president of engineering and technology.

Stalick is currently the CEO of Columbia, Maryland-based Owl Cyber Defense, and will also continue in that role. With Caliburn International, he will serve as an executive leadership team member and oversee the firm’s engineering and technology investments. He will also oversee an upcoming engineering product suite launch, reporting directly to CEO Jim Van Dusen.

“Bob comes to Caliburn International during a critical time in the growth of the company’s technology business,” Van Dusen said in a statement. “His proven leadership in bringing products to market – from managing technology to design, launch and direct sales activity – is essential as Caliburn launches several new products over the coming months.”

With more than 30 years of experience, Stalick has also previously served as CEO of Tresys Technology until its merger with Owl Cyber Defense in 2009. He also previously chaired and was CEO of professional services and consulting firm Internosis.

Caliburn provides professional services (consulting, engineering, medical and environmental) to federal government agencies and commercial clients. The company employs approximately 7,000 people across five continents.
