Two companies adding 80 jobs in Virginia Beach

Two Virginia Beach-based companies said Tuesday they plan to add 80 full-time jobs in the city.

Klett Consulting Group Inc. will add 65 jobs and lease 2,500 square feet at a new location this spring. The company will invest $115,000 in improvements at the new office.

Fortis Solutions Group, a label and flexible packaging manufacturer, will add 15 new jobs and invest $2.3 million in capital improvements at its headquarters on Hawkeye Court.

Klett Consulting is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that employs 20 people. It provides government-related and professional consulting services.

The Virginia Beach Economic Development Authority approved an Economic Development Investment Program grant of $35,000 based on the number of jobs Klett Consulting will create in the city.

Fortis Solutions Group’s headquarters improvements will include expanding the parking area and upgrading manufacturing and office spaces, HVAC units, new equipment and security measures.

The Virginia Beach Development Authority approved a $100,000 APZ-1 Economic Development Investment Program grant for Fortis’ expansion based on the planned capital investment.
