Virginia Beach-based franchise business operator Franchise Group Inc. announced Monday that Todd Evans has been hired for the company’s new role of chief franchising officer.

Evans was most recently the vice president of franchising with Orlando, Florida-based electronic repair shop franchise chain uBreakiFix, where he played a key role in opening more than 425 of its locations.

Before uBreakiFix, Evans held other executive franchising roles for more than 20 years with lease-to-own retailer Aaron’s Inc., where he grew the franchise to more than 780 locations and generated more than $1 billion in storefront revenue.

“Todd is any franchisor’s number-one-draft-pick,” Franchise Group CEO Brian Kahn said in a statement. “He embodies the perfect mix of franchise operations and franchise administration.”

Franchise Group Inc.’s business lines include Liberty Tax Service, Buddy’s Home Furnishings, American Freight and The Vitamin Shoppe. The company operates across more than 4,100 locations in the U.S. and Canada that are either company-run or franchise locations. Last year, the company reported more than $149 million in revenue.

“Franchise Group has many exciting brands that I know will be attractive to the franchise community,” Evans said in a statement. “I look forward to partnering with new and existing franchisees to grow their businesses and brands.”
