Vienna e-commerce delivery company names CEO
LaserShip CEO Brett Bissell formerly was COO for CEVA Logistics.
Vienna-based e-commerce delivery company LaserShip has appointed Brett Bissell as its CEO, succeeding company co-founder Blake Averill, the company announced Wednesday.
Bissell will be based in LaserShip’s Vienna headquarters and Averill will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors. He most recently comes from international supply chain company CEVA Logistics, where he was chief operating officer. He has also worked for Motorola, Qualcomm and Flex Corp. and has more than 30 years of experience.
Bissell earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Union College and masters degrees in electrical engineering and business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
LaserShip was founded in 1986 and has approximately 1,500 employees. Retailers such as Barnes & Noble Inc., Free People, Bodybuilding.com and Urban Outfitters use LaserShip for delivery.
