Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants Educational Foundation names vice chair

Thomas M. Crutchfield has been named vice chair of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants’ educational foundation. Crutchfield, a partner at Fairfax-based accounting firm Burdette Smith & Bish, will serve a two-year term.

He has served on the foundation’s board of directors for the past five years. The VSCPA Educational Foundation promotes business and accounting education.  For the 2014-2015 academic year, the foundation awarded $45,000 in scholarships to 24 accounting college students throughout the state.
