Virginia Society of CPAs names new officers

Lisa C. Germano, CPA, of Actuarial Benefits & Design Co. in Midlothian, is the new chair of the board of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

James L. Phillips, CPA, of KPMG in Richmond, is chair-elect.

Vice chairs include: Marc E.  Filer, CPA, of PricewaterhouseCoopers in McLean; Staci A. Henshaw, CPA, of the Virginia Auditor of Public Accounts in Richmond; Victoria W. Jones, CPA, of Jones & Co. CPA LLC, in Crozet; and Gary R. Thomson, CPA, of Dixon Hughes Goodman in Glen Allen.

Officers of the Virginia Society of CPAs Political Action Committee include Elsie Rose, CPA, of Yount, Hyde & Barbour PC, in Glen Allen, chair of the board, and Larry Hurt, CPA, retired, formerly with Franklin Community Bank in Rocky Mount, vice chair.
